whoa.
intense weekend. lots going on.
went out friday night with bro and gf. good times. got pretty hydrated, no misbehaving. just good ol' fashioned fun.
saturday was graduation day. pretty long day. spent it sitting in stands, cheering for the graduate, cookout, lots of pictures. came home and just sat for awhile, feel asleep on the couch, then went to bed.
sunday morning was rainy, but not cold. got pretty humid. had a bowl of cereal for breakfast. my legs felt weak and tired, just in the quad/hamstring area. wanted to get some protein, boost up the strength, but didn't find any.
drove up to the fields, pretty rainy on the way up, got scared it was going to be a nasty day. nice easy trip. got there plenty early. watched my old boys play. they looked good. still lacking the fundamentals, but i bet they will iron that out once they pick a team.
warmed up, felt pretty good. had the pleasure of playing against the noise first, which was weird. game started out well. they dropped the disc. we centered, i cut deep and then went up and got the disc. felt good.
we won our first two games pretty easily. felt really good to run hard, to work. i have to remember that word. work. work.
last game was against the other boston team. i got scored on one of the first points, was pretty pissed at myself. played pretty solid d the rest of the game. i need to work out how to play the wing in the new zone i was playing. very interesting to listen and soak up the experience these other guys have.
overall, felt strong all weekend. need to keep working, keep pushing when running. the harder i work on my own, the easier it will be in front of the team. play through the games in your mind before you even step on the field. be a step ahead.
stay fast, work harder. crunch time is now coming up and you will be ready. you will already have been there. picture lock down d. visualize going to on each disc.
work
