welp, here we go again.
been nearly a month since my last post. regionals has come and gone. this year, i could only make sunday. don't feel like i set the right tone and think i could have been better about doing the right thing more often, even if that meant a less than desirable result; more faith in our system. i am going to post a more critical analysis of this later on in the week.
did a lot of neural charge workouts leading up to regionals and felt good physically on sunday.
took 2 weeks off, with just 2 workouts in that time. both were on saturdays and i crushed myself pretty good each time. no need to write them down, just went in, did some work, and left.
started a new program yesterday that is going to last about 6 weeks.
i am pretty excited about it, since i have wanted to try a swing-centered program for a little while.
so, here's yesterdays training.
-gym
-roll and few dynamic stretches. used some light swings and light oh presses to get ready.
*used a 53lb kb for all swings and was able to get each set unbroken
1st round; 10 swings, 1 oh press @ 75, 15 swings, 2 presses, 25 swings, 3 presses, 50 swings
rest 3-4 minutes
2nd round; same as first
3rd; same
4th; same
5th; same
-workout took 50 minutes to complete
thoughts;
-after this week, going to switch to a heavier kb
-fun. not as repetitive/boring as i thought it might be
-have 22 workouts planned (21 more now)
