went for a 3.8ish mile run yesterday. steady pace to start, picked it up a little bit and stayed with it until the end. running at night has become very comfortable, but still a bit weird. depth perception is very skewed and there is still a threat of ice/snow/weird.
after the run, did 3 sets of 10 squat jumps. these will be done 3 days a week and i would like to start a plyo-focused regimen to improve vertical leap and quickness. did my situps and stretching once inside and then ate dinner.
when running, i really need to focus more on not thinking about any pain i am feeling. i want to reach a more relaxed state, but also still be pushing myself. pretty ideal situation. i like where i am going with my ability to push myself to a point of pain and stay there.
coaching starts in 2 weeks and i am very excited. should be a lot of fun. maybe by some miracle tryouts will be outside.
