hang cleans
front squat

in a big country

went and played pickup yesterday. not too bad, got a lay out d on rouisse. suck it team usa alternates! legs were pretty dead for most of the time, but finished with 5x50 yard sprints.

today, hit the track. ugh. i felt awful going in and felt awful during and felt awful after.

did the 8x50's, twice through and i could tell by how tired that left me it wasn't going to a fun rest of the workout.

i have been completely spent lately, work being extremely stressful and have not been able to get energy for anything.

anyway, the first two 200's weren't bad, 29, 30. immediately felt some cramping during the last 100 of the 400 and had to take about 7 minutes before i could see straight and move my legs without trouble. 73 and 72 for the 400's. finished with 33 and 32. overall, not too happy, but i finished it and i am happy about that. ugh.

sometimes you're gonna have to lose

treadmill warmup

some active stuff.

2x50 slalom jump
2x8 star jump
2x30 power skips
3x5 side box jumps
3x5 single leg stepup jumps

squat; 1x6 @ 135, 1x4 @ 155, 1x2 @ 185, 2x5 @ 205, 1x5 @ 195. legs pretty much gave out at this point
1 1/4 squat; 2x8 @ 95
some pushups in there
db press; 3x6 @ 60 in each hand
2x30 ab ball crunch
2x20 man tacos
2x30 ab bench
calf raises; 3x20

really felt tired and my quads were already weak. nice stretch and foam rolling at the gym.

18 couldn't wait to move out

got the email.

everyone knows what the email said.

i want this team to very closely resemble last years team. so this is a challenge to everyone.

whether you didn't make the list or you did, let's work harder.

to be honest, i think i should have been on that list. to further my honesty, i think everyone from last years team should be on that list. let's make that happen.

for those of you on the "bubble", let's make it happen. make yourself a player that the people making the decisions can't imagine not having. we have been issued a challenge.

i am ready to meet this challenge head on and with my heart on my sleeve. i can guarantee i will not be cut before every bit of my energy has been spent, before every bit of me has been left on the field, be it the practice field or the game field.

don't be afraid to be great.

it isn't even loaded

yesterday went and played some pickup. wasn't too hard, with some my high school players, decent amount of amherst bodhi guys.

finished with some sprints.
3x50ish yards
3x sprint 20feet in one directions, turn around and sprint the 50ish
did an extra, to gloat to the bodhi guys.
hopped back on the line and did another couple 50s and the run one direction, turn around and sprint

today, did the workout. the tabata wasn't too bad, but could definitely feel a bunch of shit in my legs.
instead of the 200s, i set up a suicide style sprint thing with cleats on a field.
8x backpedal about 4 steps, sprint forward 20 yards, turn and sprint 50, turn and sprint 30, which takes you back to the start
these were good and definitely applied to on field cutting and defending.
i liked 40 yard sprints with fun stuff before them. not easy, but entertaining.

need to stretch
